In the era of globalization, issues related to deviant behavior among children and the erosion of their character can be attributed to the rapid advancement of global civilization, which enables children to easily access various forms of content on social media that may negatively influence their character development. One effort that can be undertaken to instill character values is through art appreciation learning based on local culture. This study aims to describe the meanings embedded in the Subahnale Kembang Songket fabric and to explain its implementation as a medium for instilling character education values in children through art appreciation learning. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach by combining library research and field research. Data were collected through observations, interviews with weavers and cultural figures in Sukarara Village, Central Lombok, as well as documentation and relevant literature reviews. The findings reveal that the Subahnale Kembang Songket motif contains religious values reflected in the symbols of the hexagonal shape and the seven flower petals, which teach people to always remember God and fulfill their obligations through worship. The implementation of these values in art appreciation learning is carried out through historical and problem-based approaches involving the stages of observing, feeling, empathizing, evaluating, and appreciating works of art.
