This study aims to describe and analyze the role of digital technology in strengthening Islamic character education at Muhammadiyah At-Tanwir Digital Islamic Boarding School in Bangil, Indonesia. In the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, digital technology functions not only as a means of communication and information but also as a transformative medium for education, particularly in developing students’ character based on Islamic values. This study employs a qualitative case study approach. Data were collected through observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that the use of digital technology at At-Tanwir Islamic Boarding School encompasses social media, digital learning platforms, and applications designed to support students’ daily religious practices. Digital technology is utilized to cultivate values such as honesty, discipline, responsibility, and ukhuwah Islamiyah through multimedia-based learning content and online monitoring systems. Despite challenges related to limited access and digital literacy, the boarding school actively develops innovations to adapt its curriculum and character-building programs to technological developments. Overall, digital technology plays a significant role in strengthening Islamic character education in an effective and adaptive manner within the pesantren environment.
