Amidst the rapid Industrial Revolution 4.0 and the development of artificial intelligence (AI), the world is experiencing an extraordinary transformation, including Indonesia which has great demographic and geographical potential. This study is a comprehensive review of various sources including scientific journals and policy reports. Qualitative analysis is conducted to express the concept of supporting technologies (such as IoT, big data and AI), as well as the social, economic and environmental impacts of implementing smart spatial planning in the Indonesian context. By utilizing digitalization and AI, Indonesia can: 1) optimize planning and decision-making in this case comprehensive spatial data and AI-based analysis will enable more accurate pattern identification, trend prediction, and development scenario simulation; 2) improve the efficiency of infrastructure management, namely Smart systems can monitor, manage, and optimize the use of energy, transportation, water, and waste in real-time, reducing waste and improving the quality of public services; 3) encourage sustainable development, with smart spatial planning will support the integration of renewable energy solutions, better management of natural resources, and development of green areas, contributing to climate change mitigation and environmental conservation; 4) improving the quality of life of people, that smart cities and regions will offer better access to public services, higher security through intelligent monitoring, and a more comfortable and adaptive environment; dan 5) creating new economic opportunities, namely the development of smart spatial technology and infrastructure will spur innovation, create new jobs, and attract investment in the technology and development sectors.
