Self-awareness and self-determination are important psychological aspects that support students in regulating behavior, making decisions, and developing independence. This study aims to analyze self-awareness as a predictor of self-determination among tenth-grade students at SMA Negeri 1 Langkaplancar. This research used a quantitative approach with a correlational method. The participants consisted of 126 students selected through probability sampling. Data were collected using the Self-Awareness Scale and the Basic Needs Satisfaction in General Scale (BNSG-S). Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics, Spearman Rank correlation, and simple linear regression with the assistance of JASP software. The results indicate that self-awareness has a positive and significant relationship with students’ self-determination. Self-awareness contributes to students’ ability to understand themselves, regulate behavior, set goals, and maintain motivation in achieving desired outcomes. Therefore, developing self-awareness can be an important strategy in guidance and counseling services to support students’ self-determination development.
