Religious tolerance education at the elementary school level is important for developing students’ understanding of diversity and preventing religious differences from developing into conflict. This activity aimed to introduce the values of tolerance and religious moderation to students of SDN 1 Pogung through “Pogung Berkisah,” an interactive storytelling-based program. The activity employed a qualitative descriptive approach involving 60 fourth-, fifth-, and sixth-grade students. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed descriptively based on themes related to the implementation process, student engagement, and students’ responses to tolerance and religious moderation values. The results showed high levels of student enthusiasm and active participation throughout the storytelling session. Students were able to follow the story, answer questions, retell its content, and relate the conflicts presented in the story to the application of tolerance in everyday life. The activity also became the first program at SDN 1 Pogung specifically addressing religious moderation, thereby serving as an initial effort to fill the gap in tolerance education at the school. However, its one-time implementation and the absence of long-term evaluation indicate that the program remains an initial stimulus and should be developed through regular and sustainable activities.
