Background: Hypertension has a detrimental impact on the elderly, one of which is sleep disturbance. Benson therapy is a relaxation technique to help improve sleep quality in the elderly with hypertension. Objective: To determine the effect of Benson therapy on sleep quality in elderly with hypertension at Batang 3 Health Center. Methods: Pre experimental research design with one group pretest posttest approach. The sample size was 42 hypertensive elderly with sleep disorders. Sleep quality measurement instruments using the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index PSQI questionnaire. This research has passed the ethical test with letter number 13 EC LPPM UWHS II 2025. Data analysis using the Wilcoxon test. Results: The mean sleep quality before Benson therapy was 12.79 ± 1.570 poor sleep quality, while after the intervention was 5 ± 1.288 good sleep quality. The results showed a significant effect of Benson therapy on sleep quality in elderly people with hypertension. Conclusion: Benson therapy is effective for improving sleep quality in elderly with hypertension at Batang 3 Health Center.
