The absence of visual surveillance facilities on the main road of Kebonan Village, Kalitirto, Berbah, Sleman triggered vulnerability to criminal acts and made it difficult to monitor the activities of vehicles and residents. This Community Service (PkM) program aimed to implement a digital surveillance system consisting of 5MP wireless CCTVs based on Hybrid Solar Power equipped with an Automatic Switching System. The utilization of this technology serves to maintain 24-hour non-stop camera power continuity by automatically shifting the primary energy source from solar panels to the PLN grid when the integrated battery supply is insufficient due to cloudy weather or at night. The program's execution method involved six main stages: site survey, problem identification, planning consensus with residents, installation of two CCTV units (facing inward and outward directions of the village road), power transition system testing, and device maintenance socialization for the community. The results demonstrated that all technical infrastructure was successfully installed with precision and functioned optimally without any connection or visual recording interruptions. Social impact evaluation using a Likert scale questionnaire revealed a significant increase in the residents' environmental security index from an average score of 3.15 to 4.15, and the activity comfort index from 3.22 to 4.11 (on a 1–5 scale). The implementation of this energy-independent smart surveillance system has successfully provided a sense of security to the community while supporting the sustainable acceleration of the rural smart village concept.
