Household financial management is an important aspect of supporting family economic stability. However, some housewives are still not accustomed to regularly recording household income and expenses. This condition provided the basis for implementing a Community Service Program in Setupatok Village, Mundu District, Cirebon Regency. This activity aimed to provide education on family financial management and train housewives in simple financial recordkeeping. The activity was conducted on June 28 at the Setupatok Village Hall and was attended by 17 housewives. A participatory approach was used through observation and initial coordination followed by material delivery, discussion, question and answer sessions, financial recordkeeping practice, budget preparation simulation and evaluation. Evaluation was conducted descriptively through observation during practice and discussion. Success indicators included the ability to identify income and expenses, record financial transactions, distinguish needs from wants, determine expenditure priorities and prepare a simple budget. The evaluation results showed that participants were able to follow the recordkeeping practice using the provided format and demonstrated an understanding of the importance of identifying income and expenses before allocating household income. However, consistent recordkeeping and expenditure prioritization remained challenges. These findings indicate that simple and contextualized financial education can serve as an initial step in developing an understanding of family financial management.
