Literacy skills are basic competencies that students must possess, yet Indonesian students continue to show low literacy achievement, including those at SMP Negeri 3 Secang, Magelang Regency. This activity aimed to strengthen students’ literacy skills through the LiteraCast program, an educational podcast, and video-based learning. A descriptive qualitative method was employed through observation, documentation, and open questionnaires involving students from grades VII, VIII, and IX. Twelve podcast episodes were collaboratively produced by students and presented in class, followed by summary writing, infographic creation, and gallery walks. Videos from YouTube were also combined with LKPD and group discussions, involving 224 students. The results indicated positive student responses to media, reflected in increased interest, understanding, confidence, and information retention. Nevertheless, students continued to experience difficulties identifying important information, summarizing content in their own words, and collaborating in groups. Technical limitations, particularly insufficient speaker volume, were also encountered. The findings indicate that podcasts and educational videos can serve as engaging alternative media for literacy and numeracy development, although guidance and follow-up activities are needed to support students in processing and presenting information independently.
