Background: Hyperuricemia is defined as a condition in which serum uric acid levels exceed 7 mg/dL in men and 6 mg/dL in women. First-line management typically involves lifestyle modification and non-pharmacological interventions. One such intervention includes the administration of a combination juice made from pineapple flesh (Ananas comosus (L.) Merr.) and white radish (Raphanus sativus L.), both of which contain flavonoids capable of inhibiting xanthine oxidase activity. Objective: This study aimed to investigate the effect of the combination of pineapple and white radish juice on serum uric acid levels in male Wistar rats with hyperuricemia. Methods: The study employed a pre- and post-test control group design involving five groups (n = 5 per group). Group I served as the negative control and received a placebo; Group II served as the positive control and received allopurinol; Group III received pineapple juice; Group IV received white radish juice; and Group V received a combination of both juices. Serum uric acid levels were measured before and after the treatment period, and the percentage reduction was calculated. Statistical analysis was performed using the Kruskal-Wallis test followed by the Mann-Whitney U test for pairwise comparisons. Result: The percentage reductions in uric acid levels were as follows: negative control group, 39.8%; positive control group, 49.67%; pineapple juice group, 34.75%; white radish juice group, −5.12%; and combination juice group, 15.5% (p<0.05). Conclusion: In conclusion, administration of pineapple juice alone demonstrated a greater reduction in uric acid levels than the combined juice.
