Stunting is a chronic nutritional problem that remains a serious concern in Indonesia, including in Gunungkidul District, which had a prevalence of 22.2% in 2023. Based on the results of a needs assessment in Padukuhan Dedel Kulon, low nutritional knowledge among the community, suboptimal child-rearing practices, limited sanitation facilities, and low family purchasing power were found to be the main risk factors. On the other hand, this hamlet has social potential in the form of active posyandu cadres, PKK women's groups, and a culture of mutual cooperation that can support stunting prevention programs. This community service activity used the action research method with a participatory approach. The implementation stages included problem identification, preparation of educational materials, coordination with the Semanu 1 Community Health Center as a facilitator, and the implementation of socialization through lectures, discussions, and question and answer sessions. Educational media in the form of leaflets and PowerPoint slides were used to facilitate participants' understanding. This activity involved 22 participants, consisting of posyandu cadres, mothers of toddlers, pregnant women, and community leaders. The results of the activities showed an increase in participants' understanding of balanced nutrition, exclusive breastfeeding, and the importance of the first 1,000 days of life. Public awareness of the use of local foods as a source of inexpensive but highly nutritious food also increased. In addition, posyandu cadres showed initiative in passing on information to other residents in the next posyandu forum, indicating potential for sustainability. Community participation in the discussion also showed active involvement and a real need for the material presented.
