Abstract

This study aims to analyze community-based Islamic education strategies for revitalizing the social ethics of Generation Z in Tahunan District. The study employed a qualitative approach using field research involving 10 informants, consisting of Generation Z individuals, religious educators, community leaders, and parents. Data were collected through observations of Generation Z’s social behavior in community activities and interviews with informants to explore the Islamic education strategies being implemented. The data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman. The findings indicate a shift in social ethics from direct interpersonal interaction toward digital communication. Islamic education strategies are implemented through the habituation of Islamic values in religious activities, role modeling by community leaders, and the strengthening of community-based activities as spaces for direct social interaction. The novelty of this study lies in its community-based approach as a mechanism of social adaptation that integrates Islamic values with the digital interaction patterns of Generation Z.
