Integrated Pest Management (IPM) requires the availability of biological control agents as one of its environmentally friendly control components. In practice, farmers' knowledge and skills for producing these agents independently remain limited. This community service activity aimed to build the capacity of farmers from the Ngudi Makmur Farmer Group (Gapoktan) in Purworejo Village, Gemolong District, Sragen Regency, to produce and apply biological control agents. The activity took place on 6 December 2025 through extension, demonstration, and hands-on practice, covering the introduction of biological control agent characteristics (Beauveria bassiana, Metarhizium anisopliae, Trichoderma sp., and Pseudomonas fluorescens), mass propagation on solid media, inoculation, incubation, quality control through spore density measurement and viability testing, and application on demonstration plots. The results show that farmers' understanding of the role of natural enemies and the working mechanisms of biological control agents improved, along with their technical skills from production through to field application. Farmers also came to understand the environmental factors that influence the effectiveness of biological control agents, such as humidity and ultraviolet exposure. This activity strengthened the Gapoktan's commitment to reducing dependence on chemical pesticides, while opening opportunities to develop a biological control agent production unit as a group economic enterprise supporting sustainable agricultural systems.
