Floods are a hydrometeorological disaster that frequently occurs in Tilango Subdistrict, Gorontalo Regency. The topography, which is dominated by low-lying areas, the proximity to Lake Limboto and river flows, as well as changes in land use, increase flood vulnerability in the region. This study aims to analyze the spatial zoning of flood-prone areas in Tilango Subdistrict using a (GIS). This study employs a quantitative descriptive method with a spatial analysis approach using scoring, weighting, and overlay techniques applied to parameters such as rainfall, slope, elevation, river buffers, soil type, and land cover. The data were processed using ArcGIS 10.8 to generate a flood vulnerability map. The results of the analysis show that flood vulnerability in Tilango Subdistrict is divided into three classes: non-vulnerable (21.25 ha), vulnerable (498.03 ha), and highly vulnerable (39.93 ha). The vulnerable class dominates the study area, while Tabumela Village has the highest level of vulnerability. Field validation results show a correlation between the vulnerability zones and the locations of actual flood events. This study concludes that rainfall, slope gradient, elevation, soil type, land cover, and river buffers influence the level of flood vulnerability in Tilango Subdistrict. The research results can be used as a basis for disaster mitigation and regional spatial planning.
