Weak observation-report writing among eighth graders at SMP Negeri 7 Madiun prompted this classroom action research, which trials a Think Pair Share (TPS) cooperative model paired with serial picture media as a corrective measure. Following the Kemmis and McTaggart design, the intervention ran across two cycles involving 32 students, with data drawn from writing tests, classroom observation, and document tracing, then interpreted through combined quantitative and qualitative lenses. A consistent upward pattern emerged at each stage: the class mean shifted from 62.4 in the pre-cycle to 74.1 in Cycle I and on to 84.7 in Cycle II, while classical mastery rose from 31.25 percent to 68.75 percent in Cycle I before touching 90.63 percent in Cycle II. Student engagement climbed in step, from 72 percent to 92 percent. In short, coupling TPS with serial picture media reliably lifts observation-report writing competence while energizing student engagement and self-assurance.
