This study aims to describe the implementation of ZEP Quiz media in learning hikayat texts, to analyze students’ responses and comprehension, and to identify supporting and inhibiting factors in its use. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach using the ADDIE development model, which includes analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The subjects were 13 tenth-grade TKR students at SMK PGRI Sukoharjo. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires, and documentation, and analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that initial learning was still conventional, causing students difficulties in understanding hikayat texts, particularly in language, plot, and moral values. The developed ZEP Quiz media was validated as feasible and was able to increase students’ engagement and enthusiasm during learning. Students’ responses were highly positive, especially in terms of effectiveness, with 80.8% in the strongly agree category. Moreover, students’ comprehension improved, particularly in understanding the content of hikayat texts, also reaching 80.8% in the strongly agree category. Supporting factors include increased interest, motivation, and ease of understanding, while inhibiting factors are related to internet connectivity and device limitations. Therefore, ZEP Quiz is an effective learning medium to enhance students’ engagement and comprehension in learning hikayat texts.
