The study aimed to determine the impact of basic literacy activities on the reading interest of third-grade students at SD Negeri Cempaka Putih 01. A quantitative approach was employed using a pre-experimental design specifically, the One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The study population consisted of 25 third-grade students from SD Negeri Cempaka Putih 01. A total sampling technique was used, meaning the entire population served as the research sample. Data were collected through questionnaires, observation, and documentation. Analysis involved descriptive statistics, normality tests, homogeneity tests, and a Paired Samples t-Test to assess the influence of basic literacy activities on student reading interest. The results indicate that basic literacy activities had a significant impact on student reading interest. Hypothesis testing yielded a t-value of -11.395 with a significance level of 0.000 (p < 0.05). The posttest mean score (87.53) was higher than the pretest mean score (64.38).
