Wild plants and insects are important components of rice (Oryza sativa L.) agroecosystems, contributing to ecological balance and biological control. This study aimed to analyze the diversity and composition of wild plants and insect communities in rice agroecosystems in Sukaringin Village, Sukawangi District, Bekasi Regency, West Java, Indonesia. An observational study was conducted at two locations, namely Location A near residential areas and Location B adjacent to an industrial area. Observations were carried out in six insect sampling plots (10 × 10 m) and six wild-plant subplots (5 × 5 m). Wild plant data were collected through direct field inventories, whereas insects were sampled using sweep-netting and visual counting methods. The results revealed 23 wild plant species, with a total of 384 individuals recorded at Location A and 286 individuals at Location B, and Shannon-Wiener diversity index (H') values of 2.33 and 2.40, respectively. The insect community consisted of 18 species belonging to 8 orders, with 185 individuals recorded at Location A and 333 individuals at Location B, and H' values of 1.36 and 2.27, respectively. Overall, both locations exhibited moderate wild plant diversity, whereas the insect community at Location B showed higher diversity and evenness than that at Location A.
