The pre-elderly phase represents a transitional period that is highly vulnerable to various psychological pressures resulting from declining physical functions and social changes, while nature-based stress relief options in urban areas remain significantly limited. This study aims to analyze the effect of utilizing a Monstera Nursery as a therapeutic landscape in reducing stress levels among pre-elderly individuals in Pekanbaru City. Employing a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design (one-group pretest-posttest design), this study involved 20 pre-elderly respondents selected through a purposive sampling technique. Stress levels were measured objectively using the Perceived Stress Scale (PSS-10) questionnaire. The initial data collection (pre-test) indicated that 15 respondents (75%) experienced moderate stress levels and 5 respondents (25%) experienced high stress levels. Following the integrated activity intervention within the Monstera Nursery therapeutic landscape (post-test), a significant shift in data trends occurred, where 17 respondents (85%) fell into the moderate stress category, 3 respondents (15%) decreased to the low stress category, and no respondents were found with high stress levels (0%). The non-parametric statistical test yielded a p-value < 0.05. In conclusion, the Monstera Nursery therapeutic landscape is proven to be significantly effective in reducing stress levels among pre-elderly individuals in Pekanbaru City.
