Abstract

This report on a Field Work Study (KKL) explores how the "Observe, Imitate, Modify" (Amati, Tiru, Modifikasi/ATM) concept, together with customer experience and a flawless marketing approach, has shaped the growth of Pie Susu Cening Bagus, a micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) located in Gianyar, Bali. Carried out on 26 July 2026 by Management Study Program students from Institut Teknologi dan Bisnis (ITB) Semarang, the study takes a qualitative descriptive approach, drawing on firsthand observation and owner interviews to trace the business's journey from a small-scale manual operation producing 200 boxes a day in 2012 to an automated rotary-machine setup turning out 2,000-4,000 boxes daily. The results indicate that the ATM concept was put into practice through spotting the rising trend for pie susu, learning production methods in Surabaya, and adjusting the scale and process of production to match available capital and market demand. Customer experience is evident from demand that has consistently outstripped production capacity, while flawless marketing, offering products and service that exceed what customers expect, has fueled organic word-of-mouth promotion. The study concludes that these three strategies, reinforced by ongoing human resource development, have driven the business's sustainable growth, and it calls for further research into the enterprise's financial feasibility.
