This research presents a design for an internet of a Things (IoT) based gas leak monitoring and warning system in an MSME kitchen. This research aims to create a gas leak monitoring and warning system design that can automatically monitor and provide real-time notifications via smartphone equipped with DHT22 and MQ-6 sensors. This research uses a research and development (R&D) design. This research uses a prototype design using an ESP32 microcontroller an MQ-6 sensor to detect gas levels, and a DHT22 sensors to monitor temperature and humidity. Functional testing results showed that the MQ-6 and DHT22 sensors functioned effectively and accurately. The system automatically sets safe, alert, and dangerous statuses, accompanied by a local buzzer alarm response and notification messages sent via telegram bot when gas concentrations exceed threshold. The system also implements firebase database management to sensor readings in a structured manner, providing a user-friendly history log. The study concluded that the design of an IoT based gas leak detection automation system for the kitchen of the berkah jamur plosorejo kademangan blitar MSME was deemed feasible. The user test results obtained a cumulative percentage of 80%, and experts obtained a percentage of 75% indicating an adequate level of feasibility.
