<![CDATA[This classroom action research aimed to improve the poetry writing skills of Grade X Accounting 1 students at SMK Negeri 10 Surabaya through the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model. The initial problem was indicated by students' low performance in developing ideas, selecting diction, using figurative language, and organizing coherent stanzas. The study employed the Kemmis and McTaggart classroom action research design consisting of a pre-cycle and two action cycles: planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through poetry-writing performance tests and analyzed descriptively by comparing the mean scores across stages. The results showed a gradual improvement from 62.86 in the pre-cycle to 68.29 in Cycle I and 84.43 in Cycle II. The pattern demonstrates that improvement was achieved through iterative actions and refinements rather than occurring immediately. Thus, PjBL can be used as an alternative learning model to support students' creativity and poetry-writing skills.]]>
