This study examines the influence of recruitment and selection, training and development, and performance appraisal on employee job performance, with job satisfaction as an intervening variable among employees of private banks in Jakarta. A quantitative survey was conducted involving 205 respondents selected through purposive sampling. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling with AMOS and SmartPLS. The results show that recruitment and selection as well as training and development have a positive and significant effect on employee job performance, while performance appraisal does not have a significant direct effect. However, all human resource management practices positively influence job satisfaction. Furthermore, job satisfaction has a significant positive effect on employee job performance and plays an important mediating role. Job satisfaction partially mediates the relationship between recruitment and selection and training and development with employee performance, and fully mediates the relationship between performance appraisal and employee performance. These findings highlight the crucial role of job satisfaction in strengthening the effectiveness of human resource management practices. This study contributes practical insights for private banks to enhance employee performance through effective recruitment, targeted training programs, and improved performance appraisal systems that promote job satisfaction.
