Learning motivation is one of the important elements in the Arabic language learning process, especially for new students who are adjusting to the boarding education environment. This community service activity aims to strengthen motivation for new students so that they have a positive outlook, interest in learning, courage to speak, and confidence in communicating using Arabic. The activity was carried out at SMP IT Az Zahra Takengon involving 22 new students. The program lasts for the first month with a frequency of one time each week. The implementation of activities uses an educational, participatory, and communicative approach through motivational delivery, introduction to the benefits of Arabic, vocabulary exercises, simple conversations, paired practices, and reflection. The evaluation was carried out descriptively through observation of the attention, involvement, activeness, courage to speak, and the response of the students during the activity. The results of the service showed that there was a positive development in the interest of students in learning Arabic. Students become more active in participating in activities, are more courageous in saying simple vocabulary and sentences, and show better confidence when communicating using Arabic. The boarding school environment also provides opportunities for students to practice the expressions that have been learned in daily interactions. This activity shows that strengthening motivation that is carried out gradually, communicatively, and fun can help new students build a positive initial experience in learning Arabic.
