Mpama local wisdom is an oral tradition of the Bima–Dompu community, comprising advice, metaphors, and wise sayings that embody moral values, which has not yet been systematically utilized in primary school instruction. This study aims to analyze the impact of *Mpama*-based instructional innovation on strengthening cultural literacy and the character of discipline among primary school students in Dompu Regency. The study employed a quantitative associative approach using a survey method. Data were collected via a Likert-scale questionnaire on cultural literacy and discipline, administered to 75 upper-grade students from three primary schools in Dompu Regency (25 students per school), selected using proportionate stratified random sampling. Instrument validity was tested using product-moment correlation and reliability via Cronbach's Alpha; data were subsequently analyzed using classical assumption tests and simple linear regression with the aid of SPSS. The results indicate that Mpama-based instructional innovation has a positive and significant effect on both cultural literacy (R² = 0.478) and student discipline (R² = 0.401), with a relatively greater contribution to the strengthening of cultural literacy. These findings confirm that integrating *Mpama* oral narratives and values into the learning process can foster cultural awareness while simultaneously shaping disciplined habits among primary school students. The study offers practical implications for teachers and education policymakers in Dompu Regency to develop Mpama-based local content teaching materials in a more structured and sustainable manner.
