The development of modernization and globalization has led to a shift in cultural values within society, including Javanese cultural values that have long been preserved and passed down from generation to generation. Khilma Anis’s novel Wigati depicts the life of Javanese society, particularly within the pesantren environment, which is rich in cultural values manifested in various cultural forms. Therefore, this study was conducted to examine and understand how cultural values are represented in the novel. The study aims to describe cultural values in the form of ideas, activities, and artifacts found in Khilma Anis’s novel Wigati based on a literary anthropology approach. The method used is a descriptive qualitative method employing documentation techniques. The research data consists of words, phrases, and sentences in the novel’s text that reflect cultural values, which are then analyzed using Koentjaningrat’s theory of cultural forms, encompassing ideas, activities, and artifacts. The results of the study indicate that cultural values in the form of ideas are reflected through beliefs in spirituality, social norms, and the worldview of Javanese society. Cultural values in the form of activities are evident in the characters’ daily practices, such as religious rituals, the life of students in Islamic boarding schools, and social interactions that uphold togetherness and simplicity. Meanwhile, cultural values in the form of artifacts are manifested through cultural objects that hold symbolic meaning.
