Tourism destination competitiveness has become a critical determinant of tourist visit intention amid intensifying global competition. This study aims to analyze the influence of destination competitiveness dimensions—core resources and attractors, supporting factors and resources, destination management, and demand conditions—on tourist visit intention. Employing a quantitative explanatory design, data were collected through structured questionnaires from 285 domestic and international tourists who visited selected destinations in Indonesia between January and June 2025. Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) was used for data analysis. The results indicate that core resources and attractors as well as supporting factors exert the strongest positive and significant effects on visit intention, while destination management and demand conditions also contribute significantly, albeit to a lesser degree. The model explains 62.4% of the variance in tourist visit intention. These findings confirm that enhancing multidimensional competitiveness is essential for stimulating tourist interest and sustaining destination performance. The study contributes theoretically by integrating the Ritchie and Crouch competitiveness model with behavioral intention frameworks and offers practical implications for destination managers and policymakers in developing competitive and visitor-oriented tourism strategies.
