Chronic diseases or Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs), such as diabetes, heart disease, stroke, and various types of cancer, have now become the greatest health challenge worldwide, including in Indonesia. These diseases have a long duration, develop slowly, and often emerge as a result of an accumulation of unhealthy lifestyle habits over many years. This article aims to educate and motivate readers to realize that chronic diseases are largely preventable, by promoting the adoption of a healthy lifestyle through diet, exercise, and stress management as a sustainable investment to ensure a good and independent quality of life in the future. The findings of this review conclude that Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) are largely preventable and not an unavoidable destiny, making it the most strategic long-term investment to ensure the quality.
