This study examines the concept of ethics in seeking knowledge according to Ibn Jama’ah and analyzes its relevance in the digital era. The research focuses on both the normative dimensions of Ibn Jama’ah’s educational thought and the practical application of his ethical values in contemporary technology-based learning. Using a library research method with a qualitative-analytical approach, the study investigates Ibn Jama’ah’s work Tadzkirah al-Sāmi‘ wa al-Mutakallim fī Adab al-‘Ālim wa al-Muta‘allim alongside related literature on educational ethics and digital technology. The findings reveal that Ibn Jama’ah’s ethical principles, including sincerity of intention, respect for teachers, diligence and discipline in learning, and a critical attitude toward information, remain highly relevant today. These values provide ethical guidance for addressing challenges such as misinformation, instant learning culture, technological dependence, declining academic interaction, and unethical online behavior. Integrating classical ethical principles with digital learning systems can foster intellectually capable, morally responsible, and ethically aware learners in an increasingly complex information society.
