The development of Internet of Things (IoT) technology has encouraged the development of more efficient home automation systems, including the implementation of automatic curtain control systems. This study aims to design and implement an IoT-based curtain control system using an Arduino Uno, NodeMCU ESP8266, SG90 servo motor, and HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor. The developed system has two main features: manual control through a Telegram bot and automatic control based on object distance detected by the ultrasonic sensor. The research methodology includes hardware design, software design, system implementation, and testing to evaluate the system's response and success rate. The test results show that the curtains can be controlled through the Telegram bot in real time and can open automatically when an object is detected at a distance of 15 cm, with a success rate of 95%. Based on these results, the IoT-based automatic curtain control system can serve as a solution for supporting the implementation of the smart home concept by providing ease of operation and automated curtain control. Future development may include the addition of voice-based control, integration with other smart home devices, and improvements in sensor detection accuracy.
