Age-related changes in the hematological system increase the risk of anemia, inflammatory disorders, and various systemic diseases in older adults. This community service program aimed to conduct routine hematological screening as an early detection strategy for health disorders among older adults. The program was implemented using the Plan–Do–Check–Act (PDCA) approach, which integrated complete blood count examinations with health education. A total of 38 older adults with a mean age of 77.29±7.49 years participated in the screening. Parameters assessed included hemoglobin, hematocrit, red blood cell count, white blood cell count, platelet count, and erythrocyte indices. The results showed mean hemoglobin, hematocrit, red blood cell, white blood cell, and platelet values of 12.28±1.83 g/dL, 36.94±5.24%, 4.54±0.77×10⁶/µL, 6.90±1.64×10³/µL, and 270.84±40.10×10³/µL, respectively. Anemia was identified in 19 participants (50%), while the remaining 19 participants had normal hematological status. Cases of anemia were observed in both sexes, with a higher number among women. This program demonstrates that community-based hematological screening can facilitate the early identification of health conditions that often remain undetected in older adults while supporting health promotion and disease prevention through education and appropriate follow-up.
