This study provides an in-depth analysis of the implementation of character education at the Insan Qur’ani Islamic Boarding School, emphasizing the importance of integrating an Islamic way of life, active family involvement, and the application of a proportional reward-and-punishment system. A psychological approach is utilized as the primary analytical tool to strengthen the process of internalizing Islamic values into the students’ personalities, thereby fostering discipline, a sense of responsibility, and empathy in a sustainable manner. Through empirical observation, structured religious routines such as performing congregational prayers on time, reciting the Qur’an, and practicing daily etiquette have been shown to make a highly significant contribution to shaping the foundation of positive character and the students’ independence within the boarding school environment. Furthermore, the findings of this study confirm that the success of character education at the boarding school cannot stand alone without strong synergy with the family environment. Support, communication, and consistency in parenting from parents are key factors that reinforce the values instilled at the pesantren when students return home. A harmonious synergy between an Islamic boarding-school lifestyle, the enforcement of educational discipline, and active family participation effectively shields students from negative external influences and fosters a character that is mentally, spiritually, and socially healthy. Both practically and theoretically, the findings of this study offer valuable conceptual contributions to the development of a holistic, practical, and adaptive Islamic-based character education model capable of addressing the tide of modernization and the dynamic challenges of our time.
