<![CDATA[A major issue that frequently arises in low-income housing is the lack of community infrastructure and social facilities. This problem is also influenced by residents’ limited financial capacity to obtain homes with complete and adequate community infrastructure and social facilities, as well as a mismatch between residents’ needs and the design of low-income housing. On the other hand, community infrastructure—particularly neighborhood roads and social housing facilities—constitutes the spaces where residents can engage in shared activities. Resident interaction is crucial for maintaining unity and a sense of community among residents in order to achieve shared goals within their living environment. This study employs a collaborative approach between the fields of architecture and psychology. Data on residents’ behavior and interactive activities were collected through surveys and interviews. The architectural approach involved identifying spaces within the study site to document the availability of neighborhood infrastructure in the housing complex. An analysis of the use of neighborhood streets and housing social facilities was conducted to explain residents’ perceptions of the role of these elements and to draw conclusions. The results of the study indicate that neighborhood streets and social facilities play a significant role in facilitating interactions among residents. These interactions are a key factor in fostering a sense of community among them. The bonds of camaraderie among housing complex residents are key to fostering social cohesion within the community.]]>
