Good passing ability is one of the most dominant basic technical skills in futsal. However, based on preliminary observations at Mandala FC Surabaya, the players' passing ability was still not optimal, with an average pretest score of only 23.75 out of a maximum score of 50. This study aims to determine the effect of rondo and passing triangle training on improving the passing ability of futsal players. The method used was a quasi-experimental design with a one group pretest-posttest approach. The research subjects consisted of 16 futsal players from Mandala FC Surabaya selected using total sampling technique. The research instrument was a passing skill test including accuracy, ball control, technique, passing speed, and teamwork, which had been tested for validity (CVI = 0.89) and reliability (r = 0.87). The treatment was given for 8 weeks with a frequency of 3 times per week. Data were analyzed using Shapiro-Wilk test, Levene's Test, paired sample t-test, and Cohen's d. The results showed an increase in the average passing ability from 23.75 in the pretest to 41.06 in the posttest (an increase of 72.88%). The paired sample t-test result showed a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05) with an effect size of 3.54 (large category). Therefore, it can be concluded that rondo and passing triangle training have a significant effect on improving the passing ability of futsal players.
