This study was motivated by the low level of mathematical concept understanding among fourth-grade students, attributed to conventional and monotonous instruction relying on lectures, a lack of student enthusiasm and interest, and minimal use of instructional media. The study aimed to analyze the difference in the mean mathematical concept understanding of students before and after the implementation of the PMRI approach supported by PAPIDATANG media, specifically regarding the topic of data processing during the 2025/2026 academic year. A quantitative approach was employed using a pre-experimental method and a one-group pretest-posttest design. The research subjects consisted of 22 fourth-grade students. Data collection involved a concept understanding test administered before and after the intervention. Data analysis was conducted using the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, the Paired Sample t-test, and the N-Gain test. The results revealed a significant difference between the pre-intervention and post-intervention scores; the mean pretest score of 30.23 increased to 78.86 in the posttest. The Paired Sample t-test yielded a significance value of 0.001 (0.001 < 0.05), leading to the rejection of the null hypothesis (Ho) and the acceptance of the alternative hypothesis (Ha). The findings indicate that the students' mean mathematical concept understanding was higher after the implementation of the PMRI approach supported by PAPIDATANG media compared to the pre-intervention level. The N-Gain score of 0.6992 falls into the medium category, demonstrating that the implementation of this approach was reasonably effective.
