This study was motivated by the importance of implementing digital literacy in Indonesian language learning at the elementary school level, where its implementation still faces various challenges. The study aimed to describe the implementation of digital literacy in Indonesian language learning among fourth-grade students at SD Negeri Bluru Kidul 2, Sidoarjo. A qualitative research method with an ethnographic approach was employed, using observation, interviews, and documentation for data collection. Data were analyzed through data categorization, coding, and interpretation of meaning. The findings revealed that the use of digital media, including instructional videos, QR codes, and interactive applications, increased student participation, facilitated understanding of learning materials, and supported reading and writing skills. In addition, students began to develop an understanding of appropriate digital communication and the application of digital ethics during the learning process. Despite several technical challenges, such as limited internet connectivity and students’ varying abilities to operate digital devices, the implementation of digital literacy had a positive impact on creating a more active, engaging, and technology-oriented learning environment. These findings highlight the importance of integrating digital literacy into elementary Indonesian language instruction while providing adequate technological support to optimize its implementation.
