This study aimed to improve the learning outcomes of Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) among fourth-grade students at SDK Balabatu through the implementation of the Word Square learning model and to describe the instructional changes made in each cycle. The study employed Classroom Action Research conducted in two cycles. The participants were five fourth-grade students of SDK Balabatu. Data were collected through student activity observation, learning outcome tests, and documentation, and were analyzed using descriptive quantitative analysis. The results showed that student activity increased from 58% in Cycle I, categorized as low, to 87% in Cycle II, categorized as good. In Cycle I, none of the students reached the minimum mastery criterion of 70. Following reflection and instructional improvements, all students achieved mastery in Cycle II, with scores of 80, 70, 80, 90, and 90. Classical mastery increased from 0% in Cycle I to 100% in Cycle II. The instructional improvements included more intensive guidance, better classroom management, increased teacher-student interaction, closer monitoring of student engagement, and stronger assistance during task completion. Therefore, the Word Square learning model can be used as an alternative IPAS learning approach to improve student activity and learning outcomes in Grade IV at SDK Balabatu.
