This study aimed to determine the effect of the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) Program on the learning motivation of fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 78 Palembang. The study employed a quantitative approach using a survey method. The population consisted of all 51 fifth-grade students, and the entire population was included as the research sample using simple random sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires, observations, and documentation. Data analysis included the normality test, linearity test, and simple linear regression hypothesis test. The results of the simple linear regression analysis showed a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating that H? was accepted and H? was rejected. The R Square value of 0.584 indicates that the MBG Program contributed 58.4% to students’ learning motivation, while the remaining 41.6% was influenced by other factors outside the study. Therefore, the MBG Program had a positive and significant effect on the learning motivation of fifth-grade students. The program increased students’ enthusiasm, focus, activity, and physical readiness to participate in learning activities. These findings indicate that adequate nutritional fulfillment can support improvements in the quality of the learning process.
