Digital Radiography (DR) is a high-utilization imaging modality requiring effective maintenance to ensure optimal image quality and equipment availability. Conventional maintenance practices, which are predominantly manual and reactive, frequently lead to increased downtime and significant documentation challenges. Consequently, implementing a digital-based Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) system is essential to support a more structured and proactive approach. This study aims to develop and evaluate the effectiveness of a digital application-based TPM model, with a specific focus on the Autonomous Maintenance pillar, to improve the operational performance of DR equipment. The research employed a mixed-methods Research and Development (R&D) design based on the Borg & Gall model. The key stages included initial information collection, model development, expert validation, implementation, and effectiveness evaluation. Equipment performance was comprehensively assessed utilizing Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), while user satisfaction was measured using a 4-point Likert scale. The implementation of the digital-based TPM model using AppSheet resulted in measurable improvements across all OEE components, including availability, performance, and quality, when compared to baseline conditions. Post-intervention FMEA analysis demonstrated a notable reduction in Risk Priority Number (RPN) values for several critical failure modes. Furthermore, user satisfaction among radiographers was rated highly, particularly regarding the ease of documentation, reporting efficiency, and the clarity of maintenance history tracking. The digital application-based TPM model effectively enhances DR equipment performance, optimizes maintenance documentation, and significantly increases user engagement through Autonomous Maintenance, demonstrating strong potential for sustainable implementation in healthcare facilities.
