Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of knowledge management and organizational learning in supporting organizational human resource development through knowledge management, competency enhancement, continuous learning, and improved organizational performance. This study uses a literature review with descriptive-analytical analysis of knowledge management and organizational learning and their relationship with human resource development and organizational performance. The results show that knowledge management plays a role in creating, capturing, storing, sharing, and utilizing knowledge, while organizational learning plays a role in transforming knowledge and experience into learning that can improve human resource competencies and adaptability. The two concepts are closely related, and their effectiveness is influenced by top management support, organizational culture, leadership, technological readiness, and their connection with human resource development systems. The implementation of knowledge management and organizational learning can support improvements in competency, productivity, problem-solving abilities, innovation, and organizational performance, although challenges remain, including resistance to knowledge sharing, technological limitations, insufficient leadership support, difficulties in measuring outcomes, and suboptimal implementation within human resource management systems. The optimization of knowledge management and organizational learning can be achieved by strengthening a learning and knowledge-sharing culture, providing leadership support, utilizing appropriate technology, developing performance indicators, and implementing continuous learning and human resource development.
