The Student Community Service program (KKN) is a form of student service to the community that serves as a means to apply academic knowledge when addressing social conditions within the local environment. The KKN activities in Dewi Sri Village in 2026 were carried out through empowerment programs focusing on education, social affairs, and the environment. This study aims to describe the tangible contributions made by KKN students in implementing these empowerment programs and to identify community responses and challenges encountered during the activities. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed, utilizing observation, direct involvement in activities, communication with the community, and program documentation. The implemented programs included school teaching, anti-bullying education, savings education, the creation of information boards regarding waste decomposition times, the establishment of a waste bank, the construction of a village entrance gate, an Islamic Children's Creativity Week, and a fun walk to commemorate the Republic of Indonesia's Independence Day—all conducted in collaboration with the community. The results indicate that the KKN program garnered a positive response and enthusiasm from the community, particularly regarding activities related to children's education, the environment, and social engagement. However, achieving high levels of community participation remained challenging, as most residents were occupied with their respective jobs and daily activities. This situation demonstrates that limited participation does not necessarily reflect a lack of community concern but is also linked to time constraints. Overall, the KKN activities contributed to enhancing children's learning spaces, environmental awareness, social interaction, and community participation through educational and collaborative initiatives. The program also served as a learning opportunity for students to understand community needs and develop empowerment approaches that are more contextual and sustainable.
