The garment industry demands high-quality standards in every production process, including sport apparel products such as the AYM Sport Jersey Style. This research was conducted at PT X by applying the Seven Tools of Quality method as a quality control approach, aiming to identify dominant defect types, analyze their causes, and design improvement solutions. Data were collected over 20 days of direct observation on the production floor. The analysis results show that dirty defects are the most dominant type, accounting for 31.25%, caused by a humid work environment, the absence of a specific SOP for handling white fabric, and uneven operator awareness regarding cleanliness. As solutions, a Flowchart-based SOP for material handling was designed, along with direct education for operators and active involvement of the QC team in supervision. After implementation, data showed a decrease in dirty defects from 4.16% to 2.48%, despite an increase in production volume. These findings prove that a data-driven approach, supported by a systematic workflow, can deliver a real impact on product quality improvement. This research recommends that the company consistently continue SOP implementation and provide cleaner, enclosed material storage areas.
