General Background Educational institutions increasingly require modern digital systems to overcome the limitations of manual attendance tracking and administrative delays. Specific Background At SMK Islam Krembung, attendance recording still relies heavily on manual books, which leads to recording errors, delayed recapitulation, and reporting difficulties. Knowledge Gap However, practical implementations combining native web technologies with multi-role access for automated school attendance management remain insufficiently documented in specific vocational settings. Aims This study aims to design and implement a web-based digital attendance system for students and teachers using PHP Native and MySQL at SMK Islam Krembung. Results The system successfully records student and teacher attendance in real-time, generates automated summaries, and produces accurate reports through a responsive Bootstrap-based interface. Novelty This work provides a structured waterfall-based software development approach tailored for multi-user school attendance platforms using lightweight native web programming. Implications The findings offer practical frameworks for schools to digitize administrative workflows, minimize human recording errors, and improve accountability. Key Findings Highlights The waterfall software development method successfully structures the creation of a web-based school attendance system from needs analysis to maintenance. Utilizing PHP Native and MySQL database integration allows real-time recording and fast access for multi-role users including admin, teachers, and students. The responsive Bootstrap interface and automated reporting features significantly improve administrative efficiency and data accuracy compared to manual books.
