<![CDATA[Suboptimal basic immunization coverage requires health education approaches that improve maternal understanding while strengthening family support. This study aimed to analyze changes in maternal knowledge and family support following interactive audiovisual-based health education on basic immunization at UPTD Puskesmas Polara. A pre-experimental one-group pretest–posttest design was conducted involving 72 mothers of children under five selected through purposive sampling. The intervention was delivered in one structured session using an educational video followed by discussion, question-and-answer activities, and clarification of the material. Maternal knowledge and family support were assessed before and after the intervention using structured questionnaires. Changes were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The proportion of mothers with good knowledge increased from 16.7% to 87.5%, while the proportion of mothers reporting that their families were supportive increased from 8.3% to 86.1%.” increased from 8.3% to 86.1%. The mean categorical knowledge score increased from 1.65 to 2.85 (Z = −7.126; p < 0.001; r = 0.840), while the mean categorical family support score increased from 1.44 to 2.83 (Z = −7.452; p < 0.001; r = 0.878). Interactive audiovisual health education was followed by substantial short-term improvements in maternal knowledge and maternally reported family support.
