Control of freight vehicle loads is an important aspect of maintaining pavement performance, traffic safety, and vehicle compliance with applicable regulations. This study aims to analyze the level of compliance and load violations of freight vehicles with regard to the provisions on the Permitted Gross Weight (Jumlah Berat yang Diizinkan/JBI) at UPPKB Talang Kelapa. The research method employed was descriptive quantitative with a case study approach. The research data were obtained from the weighing results of 181 vehicles in December 2025, as well as questionnaire data using a Likert scale to assess the effectiveness of supervision of freight vehicles. The results showed that the level of vehicle compliance with the JBI provisions was categorized as good, accounting for 79.56%, or 144 vehicles. Meanwhile, overloaded vehicles accounted for 20.44%, or 37 vehicles. The observations also indicated an increasing trend in vehicle compliance each week. Based on vehicle type, open-bed trucks contributed the highest number of overload violations in terms of quantity, with 20 violations out of 78 vehicles. Meanwhile, tanker trucks had the highest proportion of violations, at 61.11%. The questionnaire analysis resulted in a score of 83.11%, which was categorized as very good. These findings indicate that supervision at UPPKB Talang Kelapa is effective in controlling overloaded vehicles and supporting improved compliance with the JBI provisions.
