In order to determine how interactive video media affects fifth graders' understanding and autonomy in learning, this study will use students from UPTD SDN Sepulu 1 Bangkalan as subjects. Quantitative methodologies, including comprehension tests and student self-assessment questionnaires, provided the data for this research. Expert validation confirmed that the research instruments were suitable for data collecting. The pre-experimental design of the research, which included 30 students, was a one-group pretest-posttest. There was a positive and statistically significant effect of using interactive video media on students' understanding and learning autonomy, as evidenced by the improvements in scores between the pre- and post-treatment periods. With a significant level of 0.831 (>0.05) and a level of 0.699 (>0.05) for comprehension, the normality test demonstrated that both the comprehension and learning autonomy variables followed a normal distribution. Furthermore, the Paired Sample t-test results demonstrated a statistically significant disparity (p < 0.05) between the pretest and posttest scores. The use of interactive video media has the potential to substantially improve students' comprehension and ability for self-directed learning.
