Using a one-group pretest-posttest design, this study employs a quantitative method typical of experimental research. Student participants were from SDN Burneh 1 Bangkalan and were in the fifth grade. We measured students' knowledge with a test that consisted of a pretest and a posttest. To find out whether there were any changes in learning outcomes before and after therapy, the data was evaluated using statistical techniques. After implementing the problem-based learning strategy, students demonstrated improved comprehension, as shown by a higher average posttest value compared to pretest value. The findings of the hypothesis test also provide support for the alternative hypothesis (H₁) and reject the null hypothesis (H₀), since the significance value is less than 0.05 (0.000 < 0.05). Based on these findings, it is safe to say that fifth graders at SDN Burneh 1 Bangkalan benefited greatly from PKN classes taught using a problem-based learning approach.
