Indonesian language instruction plays a vital role in developing language proficiency while simultaneously instilling cultural values in students. However, the utilization of local cultural wisdom as a learning resource and the use of video based instructional media have not been fully integrated into the learning process. Consequently, instruction tends to lack contextual relevance and engagement, failing to fully align with the characteristics of students in the digital era. This community service initiative aimed to enhance Indonesian language instruction for teachers at SMP Negeri 54 Muaro Jambi by leveraging video based local cultural wisdom. The implementation process comprised needs analysis, mentoring, and evaluation. Teachers received training on integrating local cultural wisdom into Indonesian language lessons and developed skills to create engaging instructional videos relevant to their students' environments. The results demonstrated that the teachers were able to produce video-based instructional media incorporating local wisdom, achieving a good rating. The mentoring process also identified areas for improvement, specifically regarding creativity and innovation, the integration of local wisdom with the subject matter, visual and audio quality, mastery of application features, and the effectiveness of the video's flow and duration. Overall, the initiative successfully enhanced the teachers' practical experience in developing contextual and innovative digital instructional media.
