Social challenges that emerge in today's multicultural society include increasing intolerance, strengthening identity-based exclusivity, and weakening of mutual trust between groups. In responding to this, Islamic education occupies a strategic position in instilling the values of social harmony to form human beings with noble character and social concern. This research aims to analyze the role of Islamic education in strengthening social harmony in the midst of the diversity of multicultural societies. The research uses a qualitative research type with a literature study approach. The results of the study show that Islamic education has a strategic role in internalizing the values of tolerance, religious moderation, humanitarian brotherhood, justice and balance. These values are the foundation for forming an inclusive, humanist, and peace-oriented religious character. The implementation of contextual and moderate Islamic education has proven to be relevant in preventing social conflicts and strengthening the integration of pluralistic societies. The practical implications of this study emphasize the importance of strengthening a curriculum based on religious moderation, improving teacher competence, and developing an inclusive and dialogical educational culture.
