This study aimed to identify and describe the effectiveness of the jump topspin serve during the Final Four stage of the 2025 Proliga competition. A descriptive quantitative approach with an observational design based on match video analysis was employed. Data were obtained through indirect observation of twelve matches involving four men’s teams, with all jump topspin serve actions considered as the units of analysis. Data collection was conducted using an observation instrument that classified serve outcomes according to their impact on the quality of the opponent’s reception and subsequent attacking opportunities. Data analysis was performed using descriptive statistics by calculating the serve effectiveness index in percentage form, along with the presentation of frequency distributions and comparisons among teams. The results indicated that the effectiveness of the jump topspin serve varied across teams, reflecting differences in the contribution of positive serve outcomes and the frequency of serve errors. These findings suggest that the effectiveness of the jump topspin serve is influenced by a team’s ability to maintain technical consistency and manage serve-related risks under competitive match conditions.
